Difference between puzzle rating and live chess
From reading the many posts here, it seems pretty arbitrary what the difference is between the puzzle rating and the chess rating. Doing the puzzles definitely helps, I think, because it helps you establish patterns and recognize patterns, but I’ve beat plenty of players who had a much higher puzzle rating than I had at the time. Mine is just over 2000 now, but I get beat often by people with much lower puzzle ratings. But again, I definitely feel it’s an excellent tool to improve your chess skills.
i'm 500 rapid but my highest puzzles was about 1000

3k in puzzles is impressive. I got over 1800 again in Daily Chess, which is okay, but this is possible because I pay attention to databases and books in the opening, where a lot of my opponents don’t care about this. Recently I won a game with black where my opponent went for a line in the French (grabbing two pawns with zero development), and the database shows 1 game, black winning. In such cases the guy improved the line with AlphaZero, or he is just playing a losing line, which was the case.

Because tactical skill are essential but not enough; we still need basic openings and endgames skills. Tactics are very important, also to prevent tactics by the opponent.

On chess.com puzzles maybe, some of the ones I've seen from magazines took GMs hours and they still couldn't solve them.
Puzzle rating is just ratings for doing a couple of good moves, live chess is ratings for winning games by doing a lot of good moves.

This is within the expected range, I guess, 700 to 800 higher in puzzles.
thats 1100 which is way higher than normal
