Diversification of ability

I strongly believe if the same amount of energy devoted to chess can be diversified to other important areas of life it will be so wonderful. I really appreciate the life of Emanuel Lasker, he was a German chess player, mathematician, and philosopher who was World Chess Champion for 27 years (from 1894 to 1921).

it's not about stop playing chess. It about many great chess players have other great abilities that can be employed into other areas of life. Some don't even know.

I think many people do wonderful things at work and in their everyday lives with out realising it. Achievement may sometimes be wrongly linked to "public acclaim".

Lasker, Botvinnik and Tarrasch are three of my favourite players because they achieved stuff outside of chess.

Quit chess and become a lawyer.
