Do correspondence players on here (why's it called online?) prefer 3 days or 5?

C6! Literally!!!

I like 3 days but if an interesting tournament was 1 or 5 I'd join it. More than 5 seems way too long for my taste but different strokes as they say....

Wizard_Chess97

I think 3 days is more popular (that is the standard time for correspondence) but there are plenty of players who like 5 days/move.

btw that's a really good pun Tripp! Smile

I think that is a pretty neat idea. Will your format factor in or allow participants to play each other twice in for them to play once as white and then black? I'm debating if I have the time to take this on with my busy schedule. I'd be playing on wits as I too don't know much about specific openings. I try to develop and go from there. I also like the 3 day format.

Yes, you will be playing each opponent 2 games, one with each color. That way you can test out ideas from both sides of the opening. This is a perfect format.
