Do I play too many games a day

I play the 5 or 10 minute Blitz games

Sometimes even a 15 minute game if I'm feeling a bit tired

But I have played 27 games tonight

Is this too much

No it's not too many...unless your kids are hollerin' for something to eat and the wife has been telling you for the last two hours that the dog needs to go for a walk he is getting desperate.

How many of the games have you analyzed afterwards? If the answer isn't 27 then you have played too many.

Playing 27 games I don't have time to analyze the games.

I know when I have made a mistake, I usually lose my Queen

If you lose any piece for no compensation (including pawns) you've made a mistake. Based on your rating and looking at one of your games you make plenty of mistakes in a game, and if you don't analyze each game (using a chess engine or a pocket GM or something) you will repeat them.

I usually play between midnight and 3 am , so I'm not at my best,especially playing 5 minute blitz games, no thinking time there.

But I play for fun, not to increase my rating, so I don't mind loosing

I agree with the others, I would say that if you play 27games in 3 hours, you will not learn nearly as much as if you played half a dozen and replayed each, step by step, before you set out for a new game

I have tried to cut down and play longer time limit games.

I do play a lot better now,

I have been here 4 weeks now. It is very addictive.

I have played over 200 games now in 4 weeks.

Am I crazy or just keen
