and so it starts again *sigh*

All you can do is grab some popcorn and get comfy. This is kinda why I became less active on forums but, it sure is fun to watch

Fast improvement needs dedication. The less you get involved, the slower your improvement.

Blitz and bullet shouldn't be counted as working time at all, they are just "fun time".

Bullet and blitz are the best ways to test your 15+ moves memorized opening lines.

Almost all top rated players play bullet and blitz.

Most of them are not wasting time for fun.

Thank you very much for your useless opinion.

If you follow your method faithfully, one of these days you may even get a FIDE rating.

Heck, you may even become a top rated player, but right now you aren't rated at all, and yet you offer advice which comes out of your nonexistent chess authority.

I doubt you'll find many (or any) top-rated players who use bullet/blitz to hone their theory. Amateur players might. But the pros have much more sophisticated training methods than merely . . . playing speed chess.

Generally, they're playing blitz/bullet on their time off, when they're not doing their actual work. And they often aren't even using their practiced repertoires. They'll play the King's Indian one game, the Benoni the next ... toggling openings (and variations) for variety's sake.

They're more likely to save their actual prep for tournament games.

If you want to improve really improve then for every hour you play study three. This will hopefully limit playing for hours making the same mistakes over and over again. Once you improve cut that back. What you study is important. People as a beginner should not be going over master and gm games to see what to do. Its still beyond them, going over your games and correcting errors will help with improvement. As you improve then go on to more advanced studies.

How would I really be able to practice what I study in only one hour though?
