Did I miss something?

That's what I'm saying: If that's true, if you're really laughing at that, you're so insignificant as an entity that you're not worth anyone's time, let alone mine. Enjoy your evening.

You've spent 3 hours on this thread, shouldn't you be working on that cure, or at least getting some sleep?

Right. You'll stand around at 20 with nothing to discuss or show for your life but Chess. While still being rated 1130 USCF lol. See how far that gets you guys in today's world.

My passion would be to become a chess coach so in my case studying chess is the only way to get there

You do realize that simply being a chess coach won't provide you with even a fraction of the amount of income you need to live above the poverty line, don't you? How are you going to cloth and feed yourself? Pay rent, car insurance, gas, etc? Not by coaching chess, I can assure you of that. Especially not in today's realm of massive inflation.

Tbh as long as I can make $1000  a month I can make it work

Maybe it is but as long as I'm single, living in a van I think $1000 a month isn't to crazy if I'm cheap

Interesting thread topic seems everyone is spamming unrelated stuff but i'll give my 2 cents... that some 2000+ player told me...

People over-estimate the amount of time they spend on chess.

5 hours devide that into -2 hours tactics and studies, 1 hour analyzing games, 2 hours playing 30+20 "rapid/classical"... not many people are capable of that, tbh... Those that are become good... Those that play blitz 4.5 hours a day and do half an hour of puzzle rush can stay the same level for years and years (me being the latter, I like being a beginner/intermediate, why become better anyways?)

(Bullet isn't chess. 3+0 isn't either)

More like $5.8 an hour (at 40 hours a week and if there were zero taxes)

You wouldn’t know the pain, kid, deep bellowed in the soles of your feet after pounding out an 8 hour shift. Your knees, sore from the pounding of the cold, concrete Walmart floor.. but it’s out duty, kid, we have to pound the floor to make sure Walmart customers get what they came for. Just the other day, I pounded the floor so hard I had kitchenaide blenders flying off the charts, left and right. My knees, aching. Feet, sore. Neck, tired from pulling down blenders all day. Let’s just say, there’s a reason only the STRONG get hired at Walmart, kid. If you apply (which you won’t because you play CHESS and don’t have the GUTS to pound the floor with the rest of us) they’ll ask you; can you lift 50lbs? Which of course you can’t. But I can.. I can, and I do .. I pull those blenders off those shelves, better than anybody you’ve ever seen before.

after a long day of pounding the floor, a man deserves his peace, you understand? I come home to mommy and she had a fresh patch of chicken nuggs for me, just waiting there. But she doesn’t get it, she doesn’t pound the floor. I tell my mom LIFE IS GONNA STEAM ROLL YOU WH*RE then take my nuggs to my room, crack a cold one of mtn dew, and turn on cnn. Occasionally I’ll come to the chess forums to put KIDS like YOU in there place about the REAL WORLD.

you don’t pound the floor. You’ll never pound the floor. We are not the same.

Did you do this stuff yourself, or some copy pasta?
