We all have to start somewhere. I have given up on Fritz 5 for the moment cos it's too strong for me. Try Pawn 2.86 from the download pages. I downloaded it yesterday. Following the user guide I have reduced its playing strength to minimum and I have just beaten it three times in a row. You can gradually increase its playing strength as you improve. Give it a go and see what you think.
