i invest not much into chess
i just can remember 25 moves of theory with no issue and have allways been able to find ¨brilliants¨
You sound like that guy who went from 1000 to 1850 in like four months, he also had brilliant ideas even at 1000 (so I'm told)
Why take a board game seriously? Because you have nobody in your life and you need a board game to give you self worth?
I feel that this comment is unnecessarily impolite. i do take chess seriously, and i enjoy things of a logical nature (have done a lot of math stuff) and just want to have a deeper grasp of the depth and complexity of the game, which I find to be rich and engaging (yes, even at my low level, I feel this). I know several people who have done otb tournaments and have done chess as a significant extracurricular, 2000+ fide or whatever, and put that on their college applications. These people are all VERY accomplished in other things as well. Furthermore, I find it difficult to take it seriously when someone makes a shot at others for being lonely and having no respectable source of self-worth, when they are showing how stable their self-image is by putting others down.

ive been playing chess and moving up the ranks and ive seen alot of people at all levels
at all levels they play premature attacks that dont usually work, tons of 1 movers that dont help their position, weakening moves or overextending, and obviously bad opening variations
but them you get people id say over 1950, that actually look like their playing chess and not playing for tricks and premature moves, their moves are reasonable and make sense.
but every once and while you get a person that seems to not be playing for tricks and traps and premature 1 movers and ultra materialistic
does anybody else see this or is it just me?????

But yeah, hanging a rook is tame stuff. A while back I remember a 1900 hanging a queen against me (I don't know what my level was at that time but probably something 1300ish)...and there was that somewhat recent game I played against a 1600 who hung a full queen against me and didn't resign. It was surprisingly tough to win -- I did eventually get my mate, but not before missing the M3 that my opponent allowed 😂

what do you guys think about those people, its hard to take them seriously
i was looking at a game recently played by a 1900 and a 2300, and they actually play like humans compared to the chess.com beings

I can see how that can be annoying. Reminds me about how a while back I played this 1900 in an unrated game, and he told me he was on tilt. I asked why, and he said it was because while playing a 1200, that 1200 played a one-moving attacking move on his queen, which he wasn't expecting, because in his words, it was a "horrible move" lol. So...he lost his queen. And that game. Understandably, was quite annoyed by that lol

you make basic npc mistakes in your 1600 games do not be talking
"oh yes i will just say that anyone who is not extremely serious at chess dont know how to play it at all and thus accidentally be extremely elitist"
its good argument practice, especially with the bad arguments these people have given

A: Some do, yes, they are just not as skillful as a 2000+ rated player. Seriousness and skillfulness are not the same thing, and may or may not be found together.

even at my level people play weirdly, its more of a style however in my case
