Do people from India tend to be better at Chess?

True, but a couple of weeks ago when I played in a tournament, I faced a lot of people from India.

I appreciate your attempt to keep the forum on topic. Chess.com needs more people like you. You should apply to be a Mod, LOL.

I'd guess that because there are so many people in India, there are more higher rated chess players from India. So maybe, because of that, it seems that they are more higher rated in general?

If you don't get what I'm saying, then I don't blame you.

Not old enough. Though I got their advertisement for some reason.

It could also be a coincidence.

There was a thread that was wondering why Indonesian players were so aggressive. It turned out to be just a coincidence. Not sure there is a direct correlation here.

Since we're doing the whole PC bro hugging thing. I've seen you apologise when you were wrong. That's the most important thing. I've seen you talk some BS a few times on these forums, but I considered myself wrong about you when you apologised one time as soon as you saw that you'd been wrong. That's more important than anything else.

A lot of people try to make connections to country and play style/skill. Most just turn out to be nothing but coincidence.

Thank you. I also tend to judge people on whether they can admit they're wrong or not.

Country has no bearing on skill. India has more people, this is probably why it seems like this.

That's true. It's also true that there are differences though. It's hard to not sound racist these days by saying that, but it's true none the less. Different peoples/cultures aren't all the same. It wouldn't make any sense if there were.

I still believe that women tend to be more aggressive chess players than men. It may not be true, but in my experience it is. It also makes sense to me on a more fundamental/logical level, that they would be (please don't make me explain it).

I don’t understand why women would be more aggressive on a logical level, but I won’t make you explain it lol.

Forget about who is strong and who is not .

What's important is you need respectful opponents.

You must try to play against people from Turkey. They are the sweetest.

Hey anonymous, I know this is off topic, but I heard you were closing your account after you finish some daily’s. I don’t want to derail the conversation, but just know you are a good community member and will be missed ❤️

This is going slightly off-topic.

But I guess it's hard to keep things on-topic all the time.

Threads, like conversations, meander endlessly until they stop.

I just wanted to say goodbye to him real quick. I wasn’t trying to take it off topic sorry.

It wasn't just you.

I actually already did yesterday but came back for the daily games. It's gonna take a few months to complete. Thanks for the kind words.. After a few months I may reconsider my decision. Or even if I go I will just go inactive and not close my account. ☺️
