I had a guy in a recent game start cussing out America and calling us rude and inappropriate stuff, I reported him, will he actually get banned or will chess.com completely ignore it?

Accounts will get banned but generally work through an escalation process where they'll be warned first and if the behavior continues, muted for increasingly longer time spans.

Chess is tough, kids can be mean. I used to get so upset from losing. Still do but I used to as well. Simply let it go, be mentally strong.

No, please do not publicly post abusive content. You can provide to staff via a ticket, though screenshots are not proof, in and of themselves, as they can be easily faked. Staff will take reports and member history into account when making decisions on what actions to proceed with.

There were over 450,000 actions taken in May on accounts as it related to mutes and abuse closures: https://www.chess.com/article/view/chesscom-update-june-2023#FairPlay

I am of the opinion that there should be no chat in chess games before, during and after, oh just stick to words of encouragement like in 8 ball pool

I don't understand why this thread wasn't closed at the very beginning. It was completely obvious what was going to happen. And it did.
