Do Poeple Still play 10|0 or Should I Switch?

Dude, I was taking you at your word that you meant no offense. I merely explained that in common usage it was offensive and offered an alternative. Your reaction clearly indicates that your defense was disingenuous, and that you did indeed intend to offend and knew what you were doing. Not nice.

Nikki - it’s a dead end. Peace was said. All par for the course with nothing coming. Sensible people easily see what’s up. Sometimes it gets tiresome and it needs saying once. My comments were directed to the new players - that a few are here to openly insult . It’s a shame but not the norm.

10/0 is a great choice for new players.

Sorry, I guess I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. But of course this means that the “you’re just a troll” argument is weak is no such thing. I’d say being purposefully offensive is rather trollish. I don’t really understand why you feel the need to insult half the population of chess.com, but I could speculate.

10|0 is one of if not the most popular time control.

I'm pretty certain that 10|0 is the most commonly sought-after time control. Well, at least that was when 10|0 was blitz.

I'm not certain whether the 10|0 time control, which is currently counted as rapid, remains in first place.

I don't think people care what it's called. If they like 10 minute then they like 10 minute.

2nd and 3rd place were 5 and 3 minute games. But with COVID there are millions of new noobs... and noobs don't like fast games. So I bet 10 minute is still the most popular.

True enough...the time control of someone's preference does not depend on its current category. Though it might affect a tiny minority of players who are sensitive about their ratings.
