I don't need distractions to blunder...
do these people have no lives!?!?

Speaking as a Club player & chess coach, 100+ games is way too much! That has gone beyond a hobby and become an addiction! Stick to something like 20 maximum. Buy a good quality diary and start to go out and meet people! If you try this your life will gain more balance. Best wishes, Tony, nr Liverpool, England.

Gosh.....sorry to hear that Vanilla....well then you are in the wrong place....there are about a million ppl playing in this site :/

In the past few years i've seen 3 multi hundred game players -----all reached a burn out point(about the same vac. time expires)and let the time run out on all games.Right now i have an opponent whose 125 games can best be seen as"How too use your vacation time wisely"-lets 3 day run almost out, goes on vac, for i day and starts a new 3 day waiting period.

With out intention to sound patronizing I must advise you to cut the number of games way down. I can not imagine that playing that many games at once, even when they are CC, can help you improve. And it may hurt your social life.
I play only four games at the moment and all but one, the one I started first when I joined chess.com, are 10+ days/move. And my opponents play much faster then me. Simply because I have to go to work, I want to spent time with my wife and son. And even when I sit down and try variations and I find one I like, I still leave the idea to simmer and try other variations just in case I find one better. I take my time to find the best variations I can with my limited chess skill.
I have noticed that in OTB if I think at least a minute for every move, except first opening moves, I play much better. If I don't rush and keep my discipline it takes me 60-90 minutes to play 40 moves in OTB. SImply because I am not that good and I need time to find a decent move. But if I endure the impule to just play the move and take my time it always works in my favor. My end result is much, much better.

I have to agree with 2727soccer first comment. I spent basically the whole weekend trying to put myself in position where i have no moves to make and i had 70 - 90 games going on. I make a move in half of them 35 -45 and like 20 of them made their move when i finish. I repeatedly change times of the day and still had the same results.
Ok, so i tried the weekday and still the same results ......nuts. I will say this much that around 7am - 9am GMT i had best chance of reducing the amount of games it was my turn to make a move.
My reason for having that many was due to players moving so slow and waiting over half a day for them to make just one move. I took a person suggestion to add more games to counter this. Should have just kept my number of games around 30!!!!
lets hope those extra games will distract you into a blunder.
