Perhaps everybody on Chess.com could beat him. That's why he won't become a member here. Laughing

Moral of the story ....

Never! ever! reveal your dreams on a website!

who knows....maybe he did go online for the hell of it anonymously and got skull drug by someone using rybka and it was even more haunting than losing to deep blue...so he went nuts and thought politics was a better pursuit, instead of trying to beat computers...

personally I prefer the computer...I can atleast shut that off

If you think you can beat Kasparov and your name isn't Magnus, you need some serious attention from mental health professionals.

I can beat Gary Kasparov, if he exists, in chess.

But I cannot beat GaRRy Kasparov in chess.

Spelling is everything my friend.

Radical_Drift

Ugh, this thread.... seriously? Kasparov is.. well, Kasparov. This is a game he's devoted his life to. He started playing chess decades before you were even born.... and he got good decades before you were born. This is a game he's devoted his life to for... you guessed it; decades. And, you think you could turn all that around when you've been playing for what, a year? Life struggles are one thing; Chess ability and experience is another thing altogether.

Of course, if this is a troll thread, then I totally missed it.

I would like to see some of these high rated chess players play some Go(wei-chi) and see how they do.  Then you can really see their personality much better than in chess.

Passionate_Fighter might be able to beat Kasparov.  Consider the story of a young boy who beats the players in New York, becomes the youngest grandmaster until Polgar finally broke his record 20 or so years later, and eventually goes on to become a world champion.  There is also a young man from Norway who is dazzeling the chess community.  How do we know Passionate_Fighter isn't a super GM in the making?
