Norwegians on average.
Do we play better chess in a cool temperature?

People are like computers, they work better in cooler temps, because the brain/cpu doesn't have to work as hard and is more effective.
Heat also takes more energy from you!
It is also harder on the brain and body to cool down vs warm up.
:-)

It's kinda how like how, Africans in hot climates grow tall.
Eskimos in cold climates are more shorter, compact and smarter.
Heat sort of makes the energy go to your body (Physical advantage.)
Cold sort of makes the energy go to your brain (Mental advantage.)
So I have seen, in my opinion.
This is just my opinion though, I could be wrong.
LightYearz that is a load of rubbish. Anyone can invent supposed connections like that based on the slightest shred of bs. The shortness idea is known and genetically plausible, your own input of "energy go to your brain" is complete bs nonsense.

Maybe my eyes are just bad but the flags of Italy and Ireland look the same to me in this thread ?! Are they both green, white, red ? !

I come from Miami, becuase of that I am use to warm conditions. In tournaments or games I find that I play better cold but I feel as if I need 2 sweaters and the intensity of the game always makes me sweaty. Either way I'll sweat :3

Indian chess is the name given to the version of the game as played in India in the 18th and 19th centuries. The more ancient forms are known as Chaturanga, and spread to the west via Persia in the 7th Century. There are several such variations, all quite similar to modern rules, with variants regarding castling, pawn promotion, etc. These variants were popular in India until the 1960s, and are possibly still played in rural areas.

it shouldn't be too cold
“When temperatures were low (68 degrees or 20 degrees Celsius) employees made 44% more mistakes than at optimal room temperature (77 degrees or 25 degrees Celsius).”
but I don't think temperature may get higher than that.

It's absolute bull! How about chess in 0k temperature or at least 200k ?
