Plus, the tournament was round robin and I don't have a chance of getting a prize. That extra point is pretty much useless. I think I should at least get some amount of rating since I didn't get compensated at all for my opponent forfeiting.

In order to be rated, a game has to consist of at least one move by each player. So no, forfeits are not rated.
To be clear, there's no rating penalty for not showing up to a game.
The rating system predicts future results based on past results. If there is no game it doesn't make sense to update the rating.
