Does speed chess favor more aggression?
A game with lots of "tactics" instead of just pure positional play is likely to lead to a lot more miscalculations in any form of chess but particularly at a faster speed.
So openings like the Danish can lead to good results for white in speed chess, including a long time ago when Bird checkmated Emmanuel Lasker in just 12 moves.
I have been told that while both the defensive and attacking ability suffer from reduced time per move, that the ability to refute flawed attacks suffers more. Is this true and do aggressive attackers tend to do a bit better in speed chess?
