Does tactics trainer really improve your OTB play?

I have been trying the free tactics on tactics trainer for several months and I have gotten my TT rating over 2400. However, my USCF rating has remained around 2000. As I start building a study program to get to 2200, I am unsure if TT is the best way to use my time or if I should work on tactics differently. I will definitely study endgames and may also add a few openings to my reportoire.

5-10 minutes of tactics trainer per day can't do much for you.
