Don't &#^% Up

I hate it when I'm playing a game and there is like no moves that really do anything. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? Often times there is like nothing to do. On move 26 of this game I ended up pushing my h-pawn forward to attack the king side. Deep down I was thinking this move probably isn't that good, but I run into spots like this where I have no moves and then I just do something to do something.

I think Chess should be renamed "Don't *#&% Up", because that really is what the game is about. If neither side messes up then the game pretty much ends in a draw. My opponent ran out of time and I ended up winning, but lets pretend that didn't happen. This is kind of just a nothing game. If I advance my pawns then it fixes his screwed up pawn structure. He can't really advance either. It just seems like waiting moves at this point. Would the game end in a draw?

Please don't use profanity in the forums - I have edited the above post to remove it.

Profanity is bad.

Are you asking about a game that is still running or did it end already ?

Asking about a game that is still running is bad.

That's why I asked him to clarify whether this is the case or not.

Clarity is good.

Sorry for the profanity usage. I was in a bad mood.

The game had already ended before I posted.

There was a tonne to do. Your queen was badly placed. You had pawns on the queenside, you started to stack rooks by the looks of it then stopped. In that situation you have a passes pawn that he has to watch over with his heavy pieces which gives you just about all the time in the world to improve your position.
