I believe that there are a lot of people who watch master games purely for the chat but I wouldn’t say that most people who play on Chess.com do it only for socializing.
It's far more than 90%, genius...look at the #of games played of many Forumers...

Well let’s think, how many people are forum users? If I’m being like very generous I’d give it a hundred or two. I’m pretty sure there are millions of active chess players, so it doesn’t even come close. But he’s probably right about 10% of players at least opening the forum once
I'd say that many of the people who come to the forums regularly probably use this more for socialising than chess.

i dont think just forum like making clubs organising events in ur club and also just chatting with everyone in the chess.com community or the chess.com legends club

Apples & oranges. The people who play chess use it exclusively for that. And some people who use the forums use it exclusively for that. With 40 to 50 million people here there's bound to be a little cross-over, but thank god the platform can accommodate both. 
Seriously? Writing in a forum is not really socializing.
