I don't think so. Maybe at the lower levels where they don't have to compete consistently, some could give it a "shot" twice a year and come up with the 50$ prize to cover the road expenses
, but at the top, it's nearly impossible to sustain the high level of play over many tournaments with such medication.
Oh, and alcohol is no where near being a supplement. 

I cannot imagine a top-level grandmaster who takes supplements other than tea coffee or alcohol,but should there be an issue about that?
