I've landed double checkmates on opponents before. How hard is it to do and how can it be done?

What are you talking about?

Basically when you capture a king with two pieces at the same time.

I don't think thats possible.

Sure, if you are blocking the king from check with one piece blocking another, say a knight and a queen. Move the knight out of the way of the queen, and you will check (possibly mate) the king with both the knight and the queen.

lol i guess that makes me a grand-master then. I've did it with one guy and he couldn't move his king at any space around him or he would be checked.

:) That's cool. It's called a dicovered check(mate in this case). It's thing of beauty for sure.

It is illegal to move two pieces at the same time. (Except for castling, but you are not allowed to capture with that.) And moving two pieces to the same square would really make a mess...

My last checkmate - a 16 way mate !!!

That's not how i did double checkmate. I pushed my opponent's king to the end of the board, surrounding him piece by piece. Unfortunately, his pieces were also blockading his path which limited his space and helped me do this. After that, i only moved one piece allowing both attacking pieces to checkmate his king at once.
