Dragging the piece is the better option in my opinion, but either one works really. But with clicking you could make more mistakes...

Clicking is better.

Dragging a piece may result in a mouse slip, but it is faster.

Dragging is more natural for me because that's how you would do it in an OTB game, but the thing is mouse slips are super annoying. Especially when you suck with a mouse. happy.png

@OP... I do both. Drag for short moves, double tap for long. Whatever you prefer.

I prefer the drag method when using a mouse as it feels more natural. On my phone it tends to lead to more mistakes so tend to click-and-click
