Draw after obvious finger/mouse slip
I accept draws if the opponent has gained my respect. Maybe after we've played 2 or 3 matches. Struck a nice conversation. Then I gladly accept or even offer a draw after a mouse slip. And then I offer a rematch.
If I make a mouse slip it's entirely my responsibility. It happens because of my sloppiness or time trouble, because my mouse was not in good condition or I was playing on a tiny touch screen. It can be for whatever reason but it has nothing to do with my opponent so I will not expect him to offer me a draw or a takeback. And vice versa, I will not spend even a second of my time to try to understand if my opponent has made a mouse slip or just blundered. A move is a move, period. I think it's the most straightforward, honest and simple approach.
One thing that has always bothered me is the amount of people who don’t accept a draw after an obvious finger slip, *snip*
That's what always bothered you?
How about
- people who don't take responsibility for their actions and expect others to pay the price for that?
- Using "amount of" on countable nouns?
- ....
Well when I made a mistake like that i tell my opponent so he doesn't think that i was dumb but accepting draw because of that is just so stupid like imagine playing a 30 min rapid game, you're in endgame and your opponent blunder his queen and ask for a draw
I usually accept unless they are in a country I don't like
And with russian flag on avatar))
One thing that has always bothered me is the amount of people who don’t accept a draw after an obvious finger slip, here is a recent game as an example, i was winning but on move 19 i finger slipped my queen
