Draw against the computer ?

I was playing a match against the computer. At one point, i was one rook behind but I managed to trap his king. Everytime he moved, I checked him with my queen. To my surprise, he repeated the same move continuously. That was ok for me, because repeating the same move (3 times I think) automatically leads to a draw (which was good enough for me). But the program was not declaring a draw. Anyone else faced the same situation before ? Or is the story of repeated moves just made up ?

Repeating the same position three times gives a draw, but the computer currently used on this site doesn't (I think) recognize this.  I believe there are plans for a better computer opponent in the works! Cool

The same position must appear on the board with the same player to move each time, for a player to claim a draw by repetition. LittleChess Partner did not recognize the draw when I played it--we repeated the same two positions six times before I chose to abandon the game.
