Imo yes. Black should not open the position (down a minor piece), so white should do it. However, this will cost him at least a bishop, so both sides have the same material again.

I had a game few days ago, somewhat similar situation. I did not want to lose, so I tried something. He was just moving around, while I was busy setting up an attack. The reason why I won (instead of draw) is because he played bad moves.
