I let them play it out if they have less than a min on the clock, or if it’s a really cool checkmate like smothered.

If a player gets down to just the king and moves it around trying to force a draw. Instead of just resigning, it is just showing they are that much of a troll to make the players move 10 more times around to corner it.
Too bad more Chess players can't just resign with honor.
Nobody cares that much about your Chess rating.
I can see if it is a tournament or something, but an average game... Those people are just sore losers.
