experts, can u pls tell me about the draw rule in which the opponents kings repeats same steps two times, and clams for draw, while the other has a pawn and a bishop. is this really draw game?????

MervynS

The whole position has to repeat three times, not just one's side's pieces and pawns.

Here's a link to FIDE laws of chess handbook.

See Article 9 section 2 (9.2).  That's the closest you'll find to what you've described, but there is no rule where a game is drawn when "the opponents king repeats same steps two times."

Just to be clear , the position needs to repeat three times and it does not have to be in three successive turns. It is also irrelevant what moves took place, just that the position is repeated.

In such a situation it is NOT  an automatic draw, the draw has to be claimed by either player.
