Would it have been a pepetual draw of no pawn taken and 50 moves???

You're referring to the game you originally posted in this thread, I guess? Yes, it seems that both >=3 times repetition of position and >=50 moves without pawn move or capture were grounds for either side to claim a draw.

Note that you did not quite state the 50 move rule correctly. 50 (or more) moves by each side need to be made without any pawn move or any capture of anything before either side can claim a draw. If you think about it, you'll see that moving a pawn or capturing anything fundamentally alters the position so that the players can never return to a position which they had before. In that sense, the 50 move rule and the threefold repetition of position rule are related to each other. The point of both rules is to allow a player to claim a draw if the position is not fundamentally changing, in other words if no progress is being made.

I just don't get why it wasn't automaticly drawn.

Here at chess.com, you have to claim the draw and that makes sense because in an otb game you would also have to claim it.

There are other places to play chess online where the server automatically claims the draw once a position is repeated three times. The key is to know how draw by repetition is implemented on the site you're playing on.

I had a similar instant draw by rep and was surprised the game didn't draw automatically. However I did see the draw button, hit it and voila. I just learned that it is claimed on here.

Draw is for the weak man, win is for the hard man, lose is for the lost man.

Why wouldn't Refusalon click the draw button?

Only your opponent Refusalon knows that. But one possibility is that it was for the same reason that you didn't click the draw button either.

Draw is for those who is scared to lose. The weak man.

What are you burbling about? If you don't have the skill to win within the laws of chess and your opponent forces a draw, or claims an unforced one, there's no-one to blame but yourself.

laws of chess? self to blame? skill to win? what does it all mean

I only didn't click the draw button because I had premove and I was winning on time...

Maybe refusalon also didn't know that it wouldn't auto draw. So they just kept playing until the time-bomb explodes.

you should try candy crush. i think the rules would be easier for you to understand.
