Have you tried to ask them?
Draws when losing
(PSA: please forgive me if this is a duplicate message. I tried to send a message but I didn't see it go through. I don't know if it just glitched out of existence or if it's lagging, but we'll find out ig)
I was once playing a guy in a daily game and he got mad because I was absolutely destroying him. So, he started offering draws after every other move and pathetically begging for me to accept them. After four or five ignored draw offers, he started stalling.
Was it annoying? Sure it was. But it didn't affect my performance. I reported him for stalling, then quickly and efficiently won the game and blocked him.
However, I do think that repeatedly offering draws in a clearly lost position should be a bannable offense. In fact, I was quite shocked to find out that this is not the norm.
For some reason when some people just request a draw when they’re losing, I had this 3 times today. Does anyone know why?
Out of your last 5 draws, 2 were for triple repetition of position, 1 was for insufficient material, 1 for stalemate, and 1 by agreement.

Ok. Luckily I didn’t have people stalling and they resigned after a declined draw ![]()
The second you realize a win is unattainable; your goal imediately switches to working to obtain a draw rathdr than a loss.

Ok

I always think it is funny when this happens, kind of like when an unattractive guy makes lewd suggestive propositions to a hot chick - how can they possibly expect to get lucky? Has it happened once in their life that their offer was accepted and this reinforced their behaviour?
In the case of chess, I just ignore it and play my move with a chuckle.
were you low on time in the game, maybe they offered draw because they thought you won't have time to covert the game
I am at loss why you would need that explained.
They see they are losing, so a draw would be preferable.
