I just wish I had all 3000 of Polgar's mate in two, from "Chess" in pgn. :(

Found a post from two years ago with a link to exactly what I was after:

I have given away, literally, five copies of this book, I am that enthusiastic about it.

Next step: figure out how to get one of my apps to display the darned things. eboard on Ubuntu doesn't seem to want to do more than list them. The thread from which I pulled the link suggests xboard.

I use the iPad app tChess Pro with the polgar.pgn file in three separate public school chess clubs where I volunteer as chess coach, mainly to demonstrate the mate-in-two positions to elementary and middle school chess club members.  In fact, when I found the iPad app I contacted the developer, and he revised the app to accommodate FEN files, at my suggestion.  This is the best teaching tool I have found, and it costs only a few dollars.

For an excellent free PC program to accomplish the same purpose, Google 'CNET Mayura' and download the free Mayura Chessboard program. It is the best free PC program I have found for cutting and pasting FEN strings into a 'live' graphic display.  This program is especially useful if you have a classroom with a smartboard.  Then all you have to do is set Mayura to play both sides to walk through the solutions for any of the polgar problems. The 7 to 14-year old kids enthusiastically enjoy discussing  these puzzles and solving them together or by themselves.

The ability to set up a board instantaneously and to 'rewind' to the starting position when you move incorrectly makes instruction a lot more efficient.

Scid could be a possibility for you, you can disable the pgn window and select to hide the next move ;-))
