Dzindzichashvili is my super ego

Every time I am about to play a move now, I hear the voice of Dzindzichashvili deriding it.  I think I'm suffering from chess anxiety after watching too many of his videos!  LOL

Ziggy_Zugzwang

Ginger Ash Veali as I think of him. Got a lot of his stuff, but he used to promise to reply to video questions. I sent off off once and didn't get a reply. Top marks for spellling his name right !

That would be a cut and paste actually...

Chicken_Monster

Are they worth watching, anxiety notwithstanding?

cornbeefhashvili

I find his videos entertaining.

MuhammadAreez10

Dzindzichashvili. What's the pronunciation?

cornbeefhashvili

I think his lessons are great however I think "you may not play chess like that on chess.com" is a bit too much.

I like to hear Josh Waitzkin in my head after making a move because he acknowledge that chess is a game where you make errors"

MuhammadAreez10

I'll call it Jin-ji-hash-vili. Why not chash instead of hash?

MuhammadAreez10

And is there a connection with cornbeefhashvili?

Pulpofeira

I love how Botvinnik described him once: "a man who makes lose sleep anyone".

MuhammadAreez10

Pulp: You lost your Spaniard status. Pdela rules. :P

Pulpofeira

I'm from Madrid. Pdela is a poor country dweller. I made a trip to Galicia and now the site doesn't allow me to change my profile data.

MuhammadAreez10

I hope that's a joke.

(The changing thing)

Pulpofeira

No, it's true. Obviously is not in purpose, but they haven't been able to fix it. They are ignoring me lately.

Dzindzichashvili's videos are extremely well researched.

He's probably the best commentator.

I loved when in one of his videos he says 'lazee lazee chess players that don't study openings!' I knew it was gonna be awesome after that. His derision of the Sicilian wing gambit was hilarious.

What. Was he saying it was for lazy people who don't want to learn theory? Do you have the link or remember which wing gambit? I remember ThrillerFan talking up one of the versions of the deferrered wing gambit as being a great anti-Sicilian (in his opinion).

I should clarify that I like his videos and learn a lot.  That being said, I'm  sure my own games are full of mistakes.  Every time I am unclear on what to do I picture D about to shake his head and tell me why I chose wrong.  His voice got inside my head.
