Electronic chess games

Hello.

Can anyone recommend an electronic chess computer game that is free of bugs?

By bugs I mean one that doesn’t make stupid basic fundamental errors.

I have the Tandy Radioshack 1850 and it’s generally adequate for me but every now and then it just makes stupid errors and loses when it shouldn’t, and when it does it sort of makes the game a waste of time and is very disappointing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Electronic chess computers are, sadly, a thing of the past. Their engines are notoriously weak, while the strong ones are very expensive (i.e. nearly $250 for the Mephisto Master Chess Challenger). Get a smartphone and download an engine for it. Shredder for Android for example. If you must have a real chessboard and pieces, use the smartphone in conjunction with a regular board and pieces. Awkward? Yes, but there isn't much choice.
