I would love a FIDE rating but here in Australia we're absorbed in our own rating systems.

Here no one gives a damn about national rating. I don't even know mine. But don't you get both when participating in national events?

You can use elo rating in this website as a comparison between two members in this same website. But you should not extrapolate ELO rating in this website to make a comparison with OTB rating or another website.

Agreed, online ratings are usually much bogus than OTB because amateurs can easily get 1600, 1800 , 2000 in a few hours/a few days depending on their skill. You can see dozens of online ratings of 3000+ GM players whereas 3000+ is impossible in OTB.

Lol, I hit 2000 in rapid game in a few years ago in my friend account while teaching him/doing discussion about moves/plans. I highly doubt my rate is equivalent 2160 OTB or 2380 bullet.

Some individuals may not follow the pattern. However, the work gives a reasonable basis to make a guess.
You played more than 2,000 blitz games but you haven't really played much here in two years. Your glicko Rd of 114 says that your blitz rating of 2046 is probably inaccurate. To me, this is also shown by the graph of your rating over time.

It’s pretty hard to argue with statistics but you shouldn’t be worried about a number next to your name anyways. You could go other places and that number would be bigger just because a different pool or rating system. The purpose of that number is so you get evenly matched. Don’t confuse a number for skill, numbers can be easily skewed.

I saw that more than 90% of people think they will have much higher OTB rating than their online rating. If you think you are 1300, 1400 or whatever OTB rating, play a couple of games vs those OTB rated players.
