Elometer:  "Based on your move choices, our estimate of your Elo rating is 2281, with a 95% confidence interval of [2139...2422]."
This leads me to believe that one of these two statements is true:
1. I`m severely underrated.
2. Elometer is really unnaccurate

This page won't load anymore. Perhaps they are trying to work out the bugs?

Rosenbalm

1939 w/ 95% confidence - and I took several smoke breaks (I smoke outside). Apparently it's timed.

A few of the questions I knew I got wrong because the realization/solution hit me as soon as I was on the next question.

I dunno. I would probably say it's accurate for over 2000 players but if you're under 2000 you should probably subtract around 200 points to get a more realistic estimate.

So my actual rating would probably be around 1500-1700 standard. Of course I haven't played standard or blitz since I was a beginner. And have yet to play OTB.

I got 1850 without much effort in looking for solutions. It's definitely inflated.

greenibex

is there such a thing as a ELOmeter?

like an odometer

Ashvapathi

1984. 95% between 1850 - 2100. Very close to my tactics trainer rating on chess.com.

arttrysted

I got 2019 on this test, but really people this is 90% a tactics exercise and I think that's where most of the weight of the score lies. My lichess.com Training rating is between 1950-2000 which is in line with this result. Though my blitz has always been around 1600-1700 on a number of websites and servers that said admittedly I really have no idea about pawn structures or things to play for in any opening so my rating discrepancy makes a lot of sense. Do I think I'm 2000+ at tactics? Perhaps at certain types of combinations I am, but over all no. I'm probably closer to 1800+ as a whole, but the test was fun to take and I enjoyed the inflated feeling I got by viewing the result! LOL!!!

"Based on your move choices, our estimate of your Elo rating is 1579, with a 95% confidence interval of [1430...1728]."

I'm very new to chess and although i've spent some time playing recently, I'm only just getting into chess. And my blitz rating, based on the first 90 blitz games I've ever played, is roughly 800.

I spent some time on most of the 76 problems, so i'd definately blow if the time limit still was on. But it seems to be very inaccurate - I can't believe I have such a high rating.

Fun though.

chesster3145

Absolutely. Lichess ratings are hyperinflated. My Lichess blitz is 1700. My Lichess tactics peaked at about 2050.

Truth_in_Ruin
I think the most accurate part of the test is the 95% certainty.
It said I was in the range of 1533-1850. One way to look at it is- I'm almost for sure a 1533, but the best I'll ever be is a 1850.
ChessWatchesGeo

Truth_in_Ruin: I'm usure about the 95% certainty in my test though ([1430...1728] and blitz rating around 800).

Could of course be that my blitz rating doesn't reflect my rating in longer games/puzzles/tactics.

pranay_p
I got 1921 with a rating of 1120.4

Thanks Eivind! I'll have more time next week and will try the elo meter then.

No problem. You definitely should, it is really good fun no matter how exact the rating accuracy is.

greenibex

U dont need an elometer because ratings are automatically generated by the website

MikeZeggelaar

I got 2147 on the test.  Thats only 17 points off my highest rating of all time

CookedQueen

Website.

libyantiger
