en passant - I was wrong

I have posted that I think en passant shouldn't be allowed as it really annoys me However I must apologise I think the move is OK and my dislike comes from something deeper When I was a kid I learned chess and played for the school. Our school was what you would call a rough school. Many of my ex classmates ended up in prison and few went on to univeisty (with some exceptions). We used to play against kids from neighbouring schools who definately looked down on us with a snobby attitude. Weneve learned en passant at school but these kids did. So even now, years later, when someone plays it I picture them as this posh spotty snotty kid sat opposite me and react accordingly. I still don't like it but now I have worked out why
