Correction: It fell over these words: Ondopossant and Ant Passant

Idk maybe you should CZ he stopped, maybe you shouldn't and keep the story as it really happened, not putting all the tension on Lc0, I think it's enough to mention that he stopped

CounterproductiveHam

Yeah

CounterproductiveHam

Lc0 didn't create a troll one...

Yet spelling it correctly is often a challenge.

Well, milk it for what it's worth.

ok. I understand it this way....
e.g., if i play 1. d4 2....cxd e.p., then the black pawan at e4 has lost its option to ever use on pissant again. not forever and ever btw. just this gayame.
so, iows, if later on white plays f4, then this black pawan cannot capture at f3 o.p. cuzzits already blown its option cuz u can only o.p. w/ a "one" particular pawan only once a gayame.

yet most beginners still dont understand it when they get taught it and get very confused. They even call people cheaters

When chess.com started the "help" forums were filled with en passant questioners

it even continues now but anyway about 2 years ago the chess.com community started to get many trolls because of the boom in chess at that time. They pretended to be beginners and troll about many things such as en passen castling and many other rules. There kept getting more and more until about Covid where it really started to grow again. This is the time where 2ke21-0 and many more started creating troll forums. They obvioulsy thought everyone would know they were trolling but they were wrong. They called it things like onpondasant ant pass ant and Some poeple were playing along and others were actually getting trolled it spawned wars in the forms and even the chess.com team knew about it. Now its still going strong even 2ke21-0 made a forum about it destroying the chess.com community and it might still go on in the future

I like your

This is the tale of en passent, the oldest anarchy troll topic in mi-i mean chess.com

(btw follow-up, 2ke2_1-0 isnt trolling anymore the topic is pretty much dead)\

Lol, I like your allusion to Fitmc. I quit minecraft recently. I cannot believe I wasted a year of my time playing a block game when I could be conducting an imaginary war!

playing en passant is extremely rude if the opponent is unaware of this backstabbers weapon

its really low if they don’t know.

I once played against a 1100 who did not know what en passant was and it caused him to lose. At that rating, I think that knowing en passant is pretty standard and is a must.

Rip mystery 1100 not knowing chess rules
