End Game

I've got about 2 years under my belt as a chess lover/enthusiast.

I've played a bunch of live chess here, lots of blitz and bullet, some online chess, and a fair amount of games in the parks around NYC. I've read a fair amount in the last two years and maybe even studied a little . . .

For someone who at least has a clue about chess, I have to be the single worst endgame player of all time.

While I feel like I've made a lot of improvements overall in my game, I'm simply LOST in the endgame. I had 2 winning positions in the park today against very very good players, I really did a solid job in the openings and throughout the middle games . . . I lost both games and lost them badly.

I simply DO NOT UNDERSTAND how the pawns and pieces work in the endgame. I love my middle game books, my annotated game compilations, and love to look at openings, I even like to study tactics a little bit . . . But I'm hanging them all up for now and working on endgames . . .
