No, for each congress you pay £6 to play OR upgrade to silver level or above. If you want to play Fide rated events, then you need gold or platinum.

In England we were all forced to be members of our federation. It was explained to us that those who had the basic bronze package the most basic would be able to play tournenment chess after paying one surgarge of six pounds youre membership would up grade to silver. my question is is this true or did i read it wrong because afther 2 months it still has me on the database as bronze staus?
