fair play

has chess.com ever suspended an account for violation of fair play in live chess? despite the warnings it still continues to happen on a regular basis. no one likes to resign from a game but chess is built on a strong tradition of ettiquete which members continue to flaunt. it is a huge blight on an otherwise awesome site!

On a side note, whenever someone disconnects it says in the chat window: "x has disconnected, please wait a minute". Problem is, it's more like 10 minutes.

millions more concern themselves with internet disconnections.

who are the lucky ones really ?

True, but how does this solve anything?

"Oh, look, my roof is leaking ..."

"Dude, there are children starving right now!"

Complacency is a guarantee for demise

I especially hate those "wait a minute" messages when the rain is dripping through my leaky roof.

nice digression. this is a chess forum, not bleedinghearts.com! 7 billion perspectives blows my mind. i play chess for many reasons. it is a great distraction from the problems of the world, being 1. don't assume a person with internet connection has it better than anyone else. i never mentioned disconnections? i mentioned fair play. i was reffering to members who don't resign and let thier clock run. your assumption that there are bigger problems in the world is very true. however it is off topic.

your comment, not your assumption. apologies.
