The game isn't flawless but it is pretty famous, considering 'searching for Bobby Fischer' is one of the top main stream chess movies.
I can't even think of another chess movie.

Great game FBloggs. I have at home 'The Mammoth Book of the Worlds Greatest Chess Games'. This game is in it. If you can pick it up on Amazon or whatever there is much joy to be had in the collection.

I checked it out. Looks like a good book. Post one of your favorites if you want.
I'm on the phone mate so my ability to post games is compromised. But I will venture forth Lasker - Napier, Cambridge Springs 1904 as a fantastic game of cut and thrust. And also a classic example of Lasker muddying the waters in an unsound fashion but emerging victorious. If you can find the game and post it that would be cool.

Special orders don't upset us on the Favorite famous game thread.
I'm the only one posting favorite famous games lately. I'm not going to continue to give you folks a free ride. Get off your butts and start posting some of your favorite famous games or I'll start posting some of my own games!
My opponent explained in chat that he intended 5...g6. His resignation may have been premature but perhaps he realized that a player who could come up with a move like 6. Bxg5!! would have no problem converting the material advantage to a win.
no more please. ok here's 1 of the 1st games i studied when i started on chess with a beginner's booky by larry evans. it blew my mind then as i couldn't understand it but now, i don't have a mind anymore so ...

I already posted that game at the request of Strangemover (#97). You still owe one.
oh ok, here's a blunder by petrosian the meticulous
Holy smokes! An unsound queen sack by the ever careful Petrosian! It's always nice to see a grandmaster (especially a future world champion) blunder his queen. It allows us to say, "Well, that was bad but it wasn't as bad as Petrosian's."
Gufeld - Kavalek, 1962 please. A win for black whilst retaining all his pawns!
If memory serves, you asked me to post a Lasker game because you were on the phone. Are you still on the phone? If so, I've got an idea. When you finally ring off, how about posting Gufeld-Kavalek? I look forward to seeing black win without spending a single pawn.
If you have watched the movie "searching for Bobby Fiischer" you probably can relate to this game. This is the final chess game shown in the movie where our protagonist Waitzkin brilliantly beats the primary antagonist Serwer in the final game of '86 US Primary Championship to save the day. Off-course, the real game was slightly different.
I saw the movie many years ago but don't remember much about it, including the final game. I just recall that I wasn't crazy about it.
