Favourite person in the chess world?

Who is your favourite person in the chess world, my favourite is Laszlo Polgar. I think he is not only a master of creative puzzles but a master of social commentary insofar as he raised daughters without having the sexist view that girls ( or women) should play chess different to boys (or men)

I completely agree with your opinion

I'm not going to list my favorite classics.I will mention only Andersen,Tal,Alekhine,Nimzowitch and Karpov.Of the current grandmasters, I really like Natalia Pogonina. She is very beautiful and plays a lot of fun.But I fully agree with Polgar.

I think laszlo polgar is not more of a chess player, in fact according to a docu he is just a novice . But he is best known of raising a child as best women chess players in the world.

I don't know of very many chess personalities. I have heard of many, of course; however, I don't really know much bout them. I am very familiar with GM Yasser Seirawan from several of his "Winning Chess" series books and his many videos on YouTube. He is a great "chess communicator" and instructor. While he is very knowledgeable, he is also very humble and even self-deprecating at times.
This video is for beginners where he explains some great concepts for beginners, while at the same time showing how he "lost" one of his first tournament games (age 12) from a "non-checkmate". He is not above sharing some of his mistakes . . .
(The audio does get better a few minutes into the video.)

Hardly a novice with books like this https://www.amazon.com.au/Chess-5334-Problems-Combinations-Games/dp/1579125549
My point was that he did not differentiate between women and men chess players, what is the point of a women's league?
