Heyo just wanna share that I have been playing chess for months since I stopped and took a break for a few years. I'm proud that I reached 1000 elo points (I know isn't really that high but hey, we gotta start somewhere am i right?) but anyway I just wanted to share this with ya'll since I dont really have anyone to share it to hehe. I was interested in chess before but then lost interest. Now I play casually but do play blitz everyday (mostly 5 min). Any tips and advice would be useful for the future!

Thanks for coming to my tedtalk hehe

And for advise: you seem to play a3 or h3 a lot (and with black a6 or h6). I am not too sure that is always your most active move to play. Yes it prevents upcoming knight and bishops. But they are not always dangerous I think. Sometimes you seem to loose a tempo.

You never know; it might be his secret recipe to hitting the 1000 mark; had he played 1. d4 or 1. e4, he might or might not attain this stage; no one will ever know.

I know right! Thats more of a defense strategy since most of my enemies are super aggressive when it comes to taking my knights down. I don't know why they like to pin it and most of the time even take it. I find the knight pretty darn useful so it would be a shame for me to lose it so early in the game sad.png

I do play those moves but I mostly take into consideration the possible moves of my opponent. I try to play my moves depending on what I think my opponent's next response should be hehe.
