Finally 1700 blitz! What now?

Hey guys so I've made the jump from around 900 to 1700 blitz on this website in about 3 years. Any tips on improving further?

These past three years I've mainly focused on tactics and playing on chess.com 5|5 really.

For tactics the first book I got was : Chess tactics for champions by susan polgar.

I've used tactics trainer on this website. Bit of chesstempo as well. I've also used the apps CT-ART and Manual of chess combinations by ChessKing on android. These are paid applications which cost about 10$ but i'd say helped me a lot. Also I've played 24 FIDE classical games which I think have helped me quite a bit. Nothing beats a real life FIDE tourney.

But now I think I gotta start learning openings and gotta actually learn positional chess because my general stratergy going into games is just not to blunder and wait for my opponent's mistakes and my plans usually aren't all that great. So I'd love to know how to get started with this.

keep doing what you're doing and do some more. Like positional play. IF you're a tactical player it helps to learn to be able to build up positions to unleash tactics.

@SeanBrikey I never said i began playing 3 years ago. I only stated that I made the jump from 900 to 1700 in 3 years. Yes i started my account in 2014 but if you check my stats out you'd notice that I only played occasionally and was actually rated around 850 in 2018. Only after that have i played regularly.
