Finding Historical Amatuer Games

I am looking to find some games from a deceased relative of mine who was an active amateur chess player in the 1900's (most likely in the 1960's-1990s in New York State.)  Is there some place that I can find archived amateur tournament games?  Google search has not been much help.  Thanks for any input.

I haven’t played in New York, but I have played in open tournaments in Illinois and New Jersey, and I’m pretty sure no one is saving our scoresheets, much less entering them into digital media. That’s why I always hang on to my scoresheets and enter the games into a database, which I call the Database of All Possible Mistakes. I think you may be out of luck. If the New York Chess Association has a Facebook page, you could post a request for anyone who has game scores involving your relative, but it’s a real long shot

That's what I figured would be the case.  Thanks for the response though

If they were part of a club or there are friends still alive that knew them and played them, they might provide a better source than Google.
