That statement is ignorant (you clearly were not accounting for other possibilities and shows you did not know about static and dynamic IPs then) but nowhere near to the stigma you get for following comments. In response to your accusation I explained that I have various IP because modems "can and does" change I.P. for me and "Ireland at least" (as explained by Ice due to dynamic I.P) .
