First chess book recommendations?

Hi, I'm a complete beginner to chess. I know the moves but I've only played a handful of games throughout my life and never really took it seriously, but I am willing to put in the work to improve. I'm 17 by the way. I think my rating is around 500-600 at the moment. I was recommended "The right way to play chess" by one person and "The complete idiot's guide to chess" by another. Should I get both or would you recommend one over the other?

Looking forward to your replies!

Chess For Dummies. Despite the title, I found it rather informative as I started out.
