First completed blindfold chess game, improvement

I've practiced blindfold chess for some time now and I finished my first complete game of blindfold chess yesterday! (see comment below). I still have a problem to see the whole board simultaneously and keep track of where all the pieces are. For instance, in the game below I played 10.Kh1 to prevent Bh3, because I forgot that there was still a pawn on d7 (19...d5 came as a shock, I thought I'd pick up that rook).

What would be the best way to improve my visualization skills, just continue trying to play blindfold chess?

Awesome! Yes, keep practicing!

Thanks! Although the opponent played very poorly (computer level 3), it still felt great to being able to finish the game.

That's awesome. I couldn't finish that game. I can do openings and the beginnings of the middle game in my head, then lose track. I can beat my son doing it. It's pretty hard, I'm impressed.

Edit: I should be better at it because I'm very quick at vision. Also last year I memorised which squares are black or white as well as the diagonal names (a6 - c8 for example) on the advice of Danny from one of his videos. I know the board well in my mind. Still suck at blindfold.

If you can manage to improve your visualization, then by all means keep going for it.

I believe that it is the main difference between talented and non-talented players. Both can improve their chess with hard work, but I've never seen a GM who wasn't excellent at visualizing positions in his mind.

@Slow_pawn thanks! I also think it's really difficult, but I find it fascinating and I think I'm slowly improving.

@Graf I definitely think it helps to improve visualization. When I started practicing blindfold chess I couldn't visualize 5 moves ahead and now I somehow managed to play a whole 40 move game.
