Hence my inclusion of the word "Somehow." I've never played in a tournament, so I didn't pretend to know how anything works. However, it surprises me that if somebody played USCF tournaments and became a master, FIDE would make him start over at 1600 (or whatever the default rating is) like everyone else. Obviously, he's not a 1600 player. That being said, there's no reason not to either, so while it's surprising I believe you.

FIDE, unlike this site, doesn't have a default rating. This site shouldn't use default ratings either. An unrated player is just that, unrated. Not 1600. Unrated.

NP, I think it's doable in ~24 hours of bullet.
I still have no clue what the criteria are. Why have all those who accomplished the fear in the last 22 months failed? What did they do wrong?
