Some national chess federations award titles such as "National Master" (NM). National chess federations are free to set whatever standards they want for such titles, which are not recognized by FIDE.

Perhaps it wasn't an outright apology, but post #14 was a blunder because you admitted that you weren't being completely serious. Top trolls never do this. They always maintain the tension by pretending to support their original position, no matter how rediculous their arguments need to become in order to do so.
