Heck, if I get to 2200 in any format I'd be pleased to tell people I have a "master rating" and would find a way to make sound as titled as possible. I did reach 2116 in USCF correspondence chess in the pre-home computer 1970's when the "database" was just MCO. So I could say, twisting-the-truth, I'm a "rated chess expert" though I've never said that to anyone. I am a degreed master chemist and master scientist and that took a lot of work and, coming from a very poor family, also took winning scholarships and a teaching assistantship.
To be an FM in chess surely took a lot of work as well and is a great accomplishment in which you should take pride!
At least with this thread you can say a lot more people look up to you with your entirely unnecessary prefix FM. And other people question if this thread was needed for your selfish being pretending to be humble. Nobody cares. The same with people countless times mentioning their master in chemist. Buggy Buggy Boo. So I don't know the reason of this thread, because exposing a humble mind is done more effectively with a great mind and acting like it, instead of relying on people who treat FMs as flawless minds. I just have to think of the few Nazi-Minds with a FM 'Title' here on Chess.com. One of them was banned, fortunately and another one was protected by deleting one entire thread with really dangerous Nazi-Talk of that FM. Flawless is something else.
I'm pretty sure mid-range GMs say the same when comparing themselves to super-GMs.

A real FM shows up on the forums and THESE are his words of wisdom? I have only had one titled player as a friend and spoken to GM (US Champ at the time) and they would never in a million years disrespect the title they earned. I think someone hacked Jari's account and posted this as a joke!
